GNE is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to improving health through nutrition in vulnerable populations around the world. Our programs aim to empower communities to correct micronutrient deficiencies, prevent birth defects and improve the health and well-being of mothers and children.
We believe that all women of child-bearing age should be taking micronutrient supplements consistent with the WHO 2016 position.
Our goals are to provide women with an understanding of good nutrition, the skills to achieve it and the micronutrient supplements that are needed.
We have teams working to:
Develop interactive nutrition educational materials that are culturally relevant, interesting and engaging.
Develop methods to provide nutrition education to the most vulnerable women and families.
Secure a reliable source of high quality micronutrient supplements formulated for women of childbearing age.
Develop micronutrient distribution systems appropriate to the culture, terrain, and national public health service.
